Rest & Study has been an integral part of the healing mission of the Benevolent Association since it opened its doors in 1919. In fact, the very first person to use the BA as a refuge in 1919 was a Rest & Study guest!
The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for those relying on Christian Science a refuge for spiritual rest, renewal, and healing. Healings are taking place today during Rest & Study visits just as they have been over the last century, some of which have been published in the Christian Science periodicals. This testimony from the June 1978 issue of The Christian Science Journal is just one of many that expresses gratitude for such an experience.
The BA’s comfortable guest rooms provide a quiet haven for prayer and study. Rest & Study rooms are located throughout the BA’s historic, Original Building. Each room is unique and includes large windows with woodland views, a seating area, desk, and a private bath. Some rooms include a small kitchenette. The nightly rate includes breakfast, wi-fi and parking.
